New Hartford field hockey goalie Clarey records 500th career save
Though the New Hartford field hockey team lost 3-1 at home to Tri-Valley League foe Rome Free Academy Friday, Spartans goalkeeper Emilee Clarey recorded her 500th career varsity save, setting a new school record.
Isibeal McMahon scored and had an assist for the Black Knights. Alyssa Nardslico and Drew Kopek also scored. Emma Wright got an assist.
Jaylene Decker stopped six shots in the win.
Clarey made 13 stops on the day. Ella Greico scored the team’s lone goal.
RFA also won Saturday, beating Fayetteville-Manlius 1-0 on the road.
Nardslico scored in the second quarter.
Decker again made six saves to earn the win.
Kaleigh Hamilton had six saves for the Hornets.
HP field hockey finishes with a win over Oneida
Madison Oliver and Alivia Alexander each scored a hat trick in a 9-0 win by the Holland Patent field hockey team over visiting TVL opponent Oneida Friday.
Machaela Cushman added a pair of goals and Molly Bathrick also scored. Maggie Cummings and Terra McLaughlin had a pair of assists each and Abby Draper had one.
Lily Boris and Maggie Koenig split time in goal for HP but neither faced a shot.
Bethany Honness made 10 saves for Oneida.
The win ends HP’s regular season at 12-4.
Oneida ends the season 1-13-1.
Whitesboro field hockey ends on a high note
The Whitesboro field hockey team got a 2-1 win at home over Central Valley Academy in the TVL Friday.
Casey Clausen and Gianna Ross both scored for the Warriors.
Isabella Irizarry made three saves in the win.
CVA’s lone goal was scored by Lily Rivenburg on an assist from Samantha Helmer. Morgan Russo made 15 saves for the Thunder.
Whitesboro ends its season 3-13.

Sauquoit Valley concludes season with a win
The Sauquoit Valley boys soccer team got a 2-1 win at home over Herkimer Friday in both Center State Conference teams’ regular season finale.
Nicholas Giuliano and Zachary Latino scored in the win. Vitaliy Chumkh and Broc Barker had an assist each. Barker also made five saves and Alex Prichard made one in split time.
Herkimer’s Kyle Carney scored on an assist from Shane Maxon. Jayden Crandall made eight saves in goal for the Magicians.
Harrod scores twice in Frankfort win
Roman Harrod scored a pair of goals in a 3-1 win by the Frankfort-Schuyler boys soccer team over Waterville in the Center State Friday to end the regular season.
Conner Grates scored and had an assist. Senid Selminovic also had an assist.
Braydon Matos made 10 saves for the win.
Quinn Mayne scored in the loss. Teammate Tyler Barth had 13 saves.
Brays lead Herkimer soccer
Leah Bray scored both goals and Bailey Bray stopped all six shots she faced in the Herkimer girls soccer team’s win at Waterville Saturday in non-league play.
Katelyn Carney and Danielle Gilbert had an assist each.
Statistics for Waterville were not submitted.
Westmo gets past Oriskany
The Westmoreland girls soccer team ended its regular season with a 2-1 home non-league win over Oriskany Saturday.
Victoria Downs scored and assisted on the goal by Samantha Ferguson. Jacqueline Downs also had an assist.
Emily Gubbins made four saves in the win.
Rachel Daskiewich scored for Oriskany. Teammate Kaylee Burnop made 14 saves.
Westmoreland ended the season 11-5, second in the Center State Division II.
Oriskany fell to 3-12-1.
Wildcats held scoreless
The Adirondack girls soccer team lost 3-0 at non-league opponent Beaver River Friday.
Adirondack played its final regular season game Saturday against visiting Little Falls. Results were not available at press time.
