New executive director named of CAP for Madison County
CANASTOTA — CAP for Madison County has appointed Elizabeth Crofut as the organization’s new executive director. As program manager for CAP’s WIC program for the last four years, CAP officials said Crofut brings first-hand knowledge into her new role and is excited to lead the agency into the future.
Crofut has lived in Madison County since 1988 and has 30 years of experience working in the non-profit field, including leading the Head Start program for the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County for 16 years. Crofut, who has three adult children and two grandchildren, is dedicated to advocating for the health, wellbeing, and education of our community members, as well as the mission of CAP, the announcement said.
CAP is a not-for-profit agency that helps individuals, families, and children face the challenges with a variety of programs including Healthy Families, WIC, and Transitional Housing.
