National Railway Historical Society to meet Nov. 8 in New Hartford

NEW HARTFORD — The Mohawk Valley Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society will meet on Friday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church at the corner of French and Burrstone roads.

There will be a business portion of the meeting conducted by President Harry Lenz.

After the break, Lenz will show DVDs on the classic dome car used by many west coast and some east coast trains over the years, including “Dome Car Magic.”

The meeting is open to anyone who enjoys railroads, railroad history, the history of railroad reconstruction and maintenance and way of operations. Guests may also attend with the opportunity to join the chapter. Current and retired railroad personnel are also invited to attend.
