National Guard announces promotion of 5 at EADS

Five promotions have been announced by the New York National Guard for personnel at the 224th Air Defense Group (ADG), which provides the forces to help conduct the mission of the Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS) which is based at Griffiss park.

The promotions, in recognition of capability for additional responsibility and leadership:

Vincent St. Onge, Rome, to Master Sergeant. St. Onge is an interface control technician with the 224th Air Defense Squadron (ADS), which is part of the 224th ADG.

Eric Lewis, Rome, to Master Sergeant. Lewis is an interface control technician with the 224th ADS.

Edward Pugh, Sherrill, to Staff Sergeant. Pugh is a tracking technician at the 224th ADS.

Gary Gillespie, Rome, to Staff Sergeant. A member of the 224th ADS, Gillespie is an intelligence analyst.

Raven Buchwald, Rome, to Airman. Buchwald is a mission systems technician at the 224th Support Squadron, which is part of the 224th ADG.

EADS, which is part of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), is responsible for air defense of the eastern U.S. It t is located in the Griffiss Business and Technology Park in Rome.
