Kate Rolf, president and chief executive officer of Nascentia Health, has taken over as the next volunteer chairwoman for the 2020 Go Red for Women movement of the American Heart Association.
Rolf will lead the organization’s efforts to change the statistics regarding women’s heart health, including fundraising and awareness efforts.
“Just knowing that 80% of cardiac events can be prevented but that cardiovascular disease still claims the lives of one in three women means that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to raise awareness on the subject,” Rolf said.
Nascentia Health provides home and community-based care for seniors. She previously served in leadership roles at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare. She was the chairwoman in the Mohawk Valley Go Red for Women movement in 2018.
