ROME — The Joseph Michael Chubbuck Foundation Oct. 28 Mystery Dinner Theater at Harts Hill Inn in Whitesboro sold out three weeks in advance and raised more than $8,000 to assist local cancer patients in financial need.

The event was sponsored by Upstate Home Care, AVACNY, the Mohawk Valley Health System Cancer Center, and HOACNY.

More than 135 guests attended the annual event.

“This event is always a popular one amongst the JMCF patrons,” Foundation President Barb Chubbuck said. “We are appreciative of all those that attend our events. Without them, the foundation would not be able to offer the consistent level of assistance that it does. God bless them.”

The next JMCF event will be the CNY Wing Wars to be held at Harts Hill Inn on Saturday, Feb. 4.

To date, the JMCF has assisted over 1,000 cancer patients living in or being treated in Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, and Onondaga counties, according to the Chubbuck Foundation announcement.
