MVHS Medical Group welcomes new primary care physicians

Mohawk Valley Health System of Utica recently welcomed new physicians.

Dr. Sophie Alesna-Sabang, a specialist in Family Medicine, has joined the MVHS New Hartford Medical Arts Office.

Dr. Alesna-Sabang earned her doctorate of medicine at the Cebu Institute of Medicine in Cebu, Philippines. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program in Utica, where she was chief resident in her third year. Dr. Alesna-Sabang earned her bachelor’s of science in nursing from Southwestern University in Cebu, Philippines.

Dr. Yagnasri Eagala, a specialist in Family Medicine, has joined the MVHS Herkimer Medical Office.

Dr. Eagala earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua in Osbourn, Antigua and Barbuda. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program in Utica. Dr. Eagala earned her master’s of business administration and bachelor’s of science in chemistry from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, N.H.

Dr. Heraa Chaudhry, a specialist in Family Medicine, has joined the MVHS Washington Mills Medical Office and has privileges at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH).

Dr. Chaudhry earned her bachelor’s of health science and medical degree from The Medical University of the Americas in Nevis, West Indies. Dr. Chaudhry completed her residency in Family Medicine at the St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program in Utica.

Dr. Allysa Prasad  a specialist in Family Medicine, has joined the MVHS New Hartford Crossroads Medical Office and has privileges at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH).

Dr. Prashad earned her bachelor’s of science in biology at SUNY Stony Brook.  She earned her medical degree at the American University of Antigua in Osbourn, Antigua and Barbuda. Dr. Prashad completed her residency in Family Medicine at the St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program in Utica.  Dr. Prashad is board-certified in Family Medicine.
