Celebration of Life event to be held at MVHS Faxton Cancer Center
UTICA — The Joseph Michael Chubbuck Foundation, partnered with the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation and Mohawk Valley Health System Cancer Center, will hold a Celebration of Life event for 2022 cancer survivors at MVHS Faxton Cancer Center, 1676 Sunset Ave., from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 13.
It’s an on-going mission of the JMC Foundation to raise awareness of the challenges faced by cancer patients and survivors physically, psychologically and financially. Support is offered locally both by in-person groups and individual consultations.
The Celebration of Life event at Faxton will include a discussion on the advances being made in the quality of life for patients and survivors through nutrition following cancer treatment and the on-going challenges cancer survivors face because of their disease.
Refreshments will be served. To make a reservation, contact Sue at 315-527-9109 or Alexandria at 315-624-5241 by June 10.
In the United States, there are 17 million people living with and beyond cancer, according to a release.
