MVHS adds two new surgeons to Surgical Group

UTICA — Matthew Denson, DO, and Kathryn Fitzgerald, DO, have joined the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Surgical Group where they will provide general surgical and follow-up care to patients of all ages. 

Dr. Denson specializes in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, as well as colon pathology and colon cancer surgery.

He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and his Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida. He performed his residency in General Surgery at Carepoint Health, Bayonne Medical Center, in Bayonne, New Jersey.

Dr. Fitzgerald specializes in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, as well as abdominal wall and inguinal hernia repair.

She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida. She performed her residency in General Surgery at Carepoint Health, Bayonne Medical Center, in Bayonne, New Jersey.

Dr. Fitzgerald is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
