Mohawk Valley Community College will host two in-person Columbus Day Information Sessions on Oct. 12 in Wilcox Hall room 225 at its Utica campus, 1101 Sherman Drive, including various requirements relating to COVID-19.
Each session will include a presentation highlighting MVCC’s academic programs, support services, campus life, and an overview of the admissions process, the college said. A campus tour also is included, but may be limited to the lobby of each building for the health and safety of the college community.
A morning session will be at 10 a.m., while an afternoon session will be at 1:30 p.m. To register for a session, visit www.mvcc.edu/admissions/visit/on-campus-events.php online.
All visitors to campus must follow MVCC’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols, which include checking in at the Campus Checkpoint to provide contact information, complete a symptom screening, and have temperatures checked.
Masks must be worn by every person on campus at all times, plus everyone must practice social distancing and maintain at least six feet of space from other individuals. For full details, visit www.mvcc.edu/restart online.
MVCC said it is not allowing walk-in visitors at this time. Students and families must pre-register for their visit. Sessions also have a cap on the number of people who can be hosted in each session.
Persons who are interested but do not want to come on campus can schedule a virtual appointment by contacting the Admissions Office at 315-792-5354 or at firstname.lastname@example.org by email.
