HAMILTON — Madison County is counting the days until its inaugural “Get Your Shot Together” music festival on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m. at the Good Nature Farm Brewery in Hamilton.

“Get Your Shot Together” is a new campaign developed by the Madison County Health Department with a grant from New York State. The goal is to encourage the community, especially young adults to focus on their overall health and well-being, that includes being up to date on immunizations like the COVID-19 vaccine.

“Get Your Shot Together” will offer a fun afternoon and evening for Madison County residents, and its neighbors. Complete with three free concerts featuring several of Central New York’s best local bands, and delicious food and drinks from Good Nature, as they “get their shot together.”

Bands and playing times are:

  • Uncle Charlie and the Meatballs will kick the day off at 2 p.m. with their unique blues rock
  • Last Left will be bringing favorite hits from the 80s to today to the stage around 3:30 p.m.
  • The Beadle Brothers will wrap up the day with country hits beginning around 5 p.m.

Vendors from across the state will offer resources to help attendees work on their overall health and well-being.

Some of the vendors include Healing Within, Utica University and Community Memorial Hospital.

Additionally, the Madison County Health Department will have information and resources available for preventative health, all COVID-19 vaccinations (including new bivalent booster), flu vaccines, and tetanus vaccines (Tdap). Vaccination is not required for attendance at this event, and if attendees choose to receive one, no appointment is needed.
