Multiple city contracts approved by Board of Estimate and Contract
ROME — Contracts with Rick Turk Tree Service, American Curb and Concrete Cutters and the Power Authority of New York State were all approved by the Rome Board of Estimate and Contract at their Thursday meeting.
The Board of Estimate and Contract meets twice a month, the morning after each Common Council meeting. The board consists of the mayor, treasurer, corporation counsel, commissioner of public works, and president of the Common Council.
On the agenda:
• Resolution 114 authorizing the creation of two laborer positions at the Department of Public Works.
• Resolution 115 authorizing the city clerk to advertise for bids for 233-235 W. Dominick St.
• Resolution 116 authorizing to amend approved purchase order and voucher signers list.
• Resolution 117 authorizing the mayor to enter into an agreement with the Power Authority for $171,416.31 for two years of maintenance on street lights.
• Resolution 118 authorizing an agreement to change a previous contract with American Curb and Concrete Cutters for $2,150 for work at the Central Fire Station on Black River Boulevard.
• Resolution 119 authorizing a price change in a 2022 agreement with Marcellus Construction Company.
• Resolutions 120 and 121 extending the agreement with Rick Turk Tree Service for trimming, topping and cutting of trees throughout the city through 2024.
