WEBB — A motorcyclist was issued several tickets after a wheelie stunt led to a crash with an SUV in Herkimer County Saturday afternoon, according to the Webb Police Department.

Police said Sean Manzi Jr., 20, of Inlet, Hamilton County, was pulling a wheelie on his motorcycle on Route 28 around 4:30 p.m. Saturday when his bike went over some rumble strips and he lost control. Police said Manzi was thrown from his motorcycle, which continued forward and crashed head-on with an SUV, driven by 22-year-old Emma Patry.

Patry swerved to try to avoid the motorcycle, and police said this caused her SUV to flip over off the side of the roadway. The crash occurred near Rondaxe Road.

Neither Manzi or Patry were seriously injured, authorities said. Manzi was ticketed for reckless driving, failure to keep right, not seated properly, driving to left of pavement markings and unreasonable speed, police stated. He is scheduled to appear in Webb Town Court.
