Motorcyclist hospitalized

TOWN OF CAMDEN — A 53-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized after his Harley Davidson collided with a deer on Route 69 early Wednesday morning.

Sheriff’s deputies said William Kallfelz Jr., of Parish, was riding westbound on Route 69 at about 6:30 a.m. when his 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a deer near the intersection with Dutch Hill Road. Deputies said Kallfelz was thrown from his bike in the crash. Kallfelz was taken to University Hospital in Syracuse with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said. The crash remains under investigation.
