Motley 2 tribute captures party fun of a Motley Crue concert
VERONA — It will be the next best thing to a real Motley Crue concert as Motley 2 brings their “Looks That Kill” to the stage at 8 p.m. Friday, March 10 at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino Showroom, 5218 Patrick Road.
“The audience can expect a high energy show that tries to recreate a Motley Crue show with all the theatrics and excitement the fans remember,” said bassist Darryl Strucke.
The Los Angeles-based tribute act — also featuring Jeff Bell on vocals, Tony Burnett on guitar and Seann Scott on drums — started out 11 years ago playing local L.A. clubs and are now playing across the country and beyond. It was the thrill of a Crue show that turned them on to the music and the performance, Strucke recalled.
“We chose Motley Crue because of the costumes and the show they put on, as well as the fun party atmosphere they create,” he said.
They were even interviewed on Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx’s own “Sixx Sense” radio show a few years ago.
Strucke said they always set out to recreate the party atmosphere of the Crue concerts and they extend an invitation out to all area music fans to come and join that fun.
“We’d like to invite everyone out to come hang out with us and have a great time and get ready to party,” he said.
