ROME — A woman is accused of repeatedly harassing her son and his girlfriend in Rome via phone calls and text messages, according to the Rome Police Department.

Police said Jackie L. Styles, 49, of Oneida, repeatedly sent harassing, threatening and demeaning text messages to her son and his girlfriend over the course of several weeks in October and November. On Oct. 21, police said Styles telephoned her son 100 times and sent nine texts.

Styles continued to harass her son via text in late December, after an order of protection had been filed, police said.

Styles was taken into custody on Feb. 9 on three counts of second-degree aggravated harassment and one count of second-degree contempt, police said. She is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
