Barneveld’s Unity Hall will host local blues legend Midnite Mike Grimaldi and the Bent Blinds live in convert on Friday, June 8 at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $12, or $10 for Unity Hall foundation members. The doors open at 7:30 p.m., and refreshments will be available.
Grimaldi has opened for some of the greats, including BB King, Albert King, James Cotton, Hubert Sumlin, and Luther Guitar Jr. Johnson. He has also performed on stage with Joe Bonamassa, Jerry Portnoy, Ritchie Blackmore, and James Montgomery. His repertoire includes blues, jazz, classic rock, and R&B tunes.
Grimaldi is a resident of Rome, but his career has found him performing not only across the USA but also in Italy, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Greenland, and Canada. He is also an international recording artist with acoustic-solo material produced at Sondestrom Studios.
At the June 8 performance, Midnite Mike and the Bent Blinds will include Nelson the Sax Rudiak, Neon Johnny Handzel on bass, Tim Quinn (the Mighty Quinn) on drums and Grimaldi on guitar and lead vocals.
