Mercer’s Dairy in Boonville was among the New York food and beverage producers to showcase a sampling of their products on Capitol Hill at the 15th annual New York Farm Day in Washington D.C.

U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-NY, a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, was the host, according to an announcement from the senator’s office.

Mercer’s Dairy offered its Lemon Sparkling and Cherry Merlot wine ice creams, the announcement said.

From its Route 12 plant, it makes a variety of wine ice cream flavors, which have been internationally recognized.

Farm Day brings made-in-New York food and beverages from every corner of the state to Capitol Hill, Gillibrand’s office added.

Nearly 50 farmers and producers from around the state were in attendance with more than 30 exhibiting their products at the Farm Day evening reception.
