Megabus.com, Trailways of New York partner to expand bus service
Megabus.com, one of the largest bus companies in North America, has announced a new partnership with Trailways of New York, the largest and oldest intercity travel provider in New York and select Canadian cities.
This partnership will allow for expanded service options which will connect more than 100 cities including connecting New York City with 39 cities, Albany with 82 cities, Buffalo with 6 cities, Lake Placid with 23 cities, Rochester with 15 cities, Syracuse with 19 cities, and Toronto with 6 cities, according to the announcement issued earlier this week.
The newest upstate New York cities on megabus.com include Plattsburgh, Saugerties, Schenectady, and Utica, according to a megabus.com representative.
Other available stops include Hamilton and Morrisville in Madison County, the company representative added.
“The expansion of our network to more than 100 cities throughout New York State is an exciting opportunity for megabus.com,” said Colin Emberson, VP commercial for megabus.com.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer our New York customers a wide array of new convenient travel options as the holidays approach,” Emberson added.
“By working collaboratively with megabus and selling our products on megabus.com, Trailways of New York can introduce its brand and unique destinations to new customers across North America,” said Alex Berardi, director of marketing at Trailways of New York and president of Trailways.com.
“Partnerships like these, between two storied brands that control the end-to-end
travel experience, are the future of ground transportation across North America,” Berardi
added.
Schedules are now available and tickets can be purchased for travel on the new routes. For additional information, including rates, go online to us.megabus.com.
