March educational programs hosted by Friends of Rogers
SHERBURNE — Expanded monthly programming continues at the Rogers Environmental Education Center, 2721 Route 80, with three programs in March.
March 11: Maple Magic
The sugaring season would typically be in full swing about now, but whether or not the sap is flowing, we can still learn about the magic that is sugaring. This free program is brought by the Otis Thompson Foundation. Space is limited. The program starts at 10 a.m. and will meet at the large visitor parking lot. Carpooling will take place from there to the sugar bush.
March 12: Second Sunday Scribblers
The March meeting of Rogers’ nature journaling club will answer if March is the time for maple journaling and explore the center’s sugar bush for inspiration.
March 21: Equinox Fire Pit Trivia Night
Stretch your mind and celebrate your inner nature nerd at Rogers Center’s inaugural Fire Pit Trivia Night. Come as an individual or form a team. All questions will be based on nature, which could include natural history and human history regarding nature.
Register for Maple Magic and Second Sunday Scribblers by emailing ellen@friendsofrogers.org or by calling 607-674-4733. No registration is required for Trivia Night.
