UTICA — A Utica man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for creating and sharing child pornography.
Aaron Bohannon, 53, was sentenced in Federal Court in Syracuse on Monday to 20 years in prison, with a lifetime term of post-release supervision, on charges of sexually exploiting a child and distributing child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Upon his release from prison, Bohannon will be required to register as a sex offender, officials said.
Authorities said Bohannon sexually abused a victim between 2018 and June 2019 and recorded the abuse. Authorities said Bohannon then distributed the sexually explicit material to others, while also sharing other kiddie porn in his possession.
