A Rome man is accused of punching walls during a domestic dispute on East Dominick Street, according to local law enforcement officials.
Police said Austin L. Menning, 25, was in a domestic dispute at about 10:15 a.m. Jan. 29 at his residence.
The law enforcers said that Menning punched several walls in the apartment, as well as a vent during the dispute.
The officers said the damage occurred in the presence of young children, and Menning had been court-ordered to stay
away.
A warrant was issued for Menning. Then at 1:17 a.m. Wednesday, police said Menning was involved in a verbal argument with his ex-girlfriend on West Thomas Street.
Police responded and Menning was located and taken into custody on the warrant.
Menning is charged with one count each of fourth-degree mischief, second-degree contempt and endangering the welfare of a child, police stated.
He is scheduled to appear in City Court to answer the charge, according to the law enforcement officials.
