TOWN OF NEW BREMEN — A Lewis County man was taken into custody for drunken driving and drug possession following a reported domestic dispute very early Monday morning.
Sheriff’s deputies said they were dispatched to a reported domestic dispute on River Road in the Village of Lowville at about 12:41 a.m. Monday. Deputies said they learned that Robert K. Nagy, 31, of 5954 River Road, was involved in the dispute, then left the scene before officers arrived.
Deputies said Nagy was eventually located a short time later traveling southbound on Route 812. Deputies said Nagy failed to dim his high beams when passing an oncoming deputy, so Nagy was pulled over.
Once stopped, deputies said Nagy was found with quantities of marijuana and methamphetamine, and he was found to be intoxicated.
Nagy is charged with one count each of driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or greater, seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to dim high beams, deputies stated. He is scheduled to appear in Town Court.
