A Madison County man is accused of possessing a stolen firearm in the City of Rome, according to law enforcement officials.
Sheriff’s investigators said Evan E. Colvin, 23, of Rich Road, Morrisville, was taken into custody on Sept. 11 on one count each of third-degree possession of a weapon and fourth-degree possession of stolen property, both felonies. Investigators said Colvin was in possession of a gun that had been reported stolen from a burglary in January.
The investigation is continuing.
Colvin was arraigned in count and was sent to county jail in $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in City Court.
