TOWN OF MARCY — A 42-year-old man has been charged with multiple felonies after attacking a woman and taking her cell phone during a domestic dispute early Saturday morning, according to law enforcement officials.
Sheriff’s deputies said Lucas Carrier, of Whitesboro, went to the woman’s home on Jerry Road in Marcy at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, despite an order of protection filed against him. Deputies said Carrier made physical contact with the woman and took her cell phone when she tried to call 9-1-1 for help.
Carrier was later located in Whitesboro and was taken into custody.
Carrier is charged with one count each of first-degree contempt, fourth-degree grand larceny, both felonies, fourth-degree mischief and second-degree harassment, authorities said.
He was arraigned in court and was sent to county jail in lieu of bail.
He is scheduled to reappear in court.
