Man charged in Deerfield break-in

TOWN OF DEERFIELD — A Utica man is accused of breaking into a home on Woodruff Terrace in Deerfield.

Sheriff's deputies said Adrian Ward, 41, broke into the residence on June 21 and the Sheriff's Office was called to investigate. Deputies said they were able to identify Ward and he was taken into custody on Wednesday.

Ward is charged with one count of second-degree burglary, a class C felony, authorities said. He was arraigned in court and was sent to county jail without bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court.

Deputies said the investigation is continuing and more charges are possible.
