TOWN OF LEWIS — A Boonville man is facing a felony charge in Lewis County for violating an order of protection.
This is Dustin E. Eaton’s third domestic charge in three years, according to law enforcement officials. Sheriff’s deputies said Eaton, 29, of Boonville, was in a domestic dispute on Kotary Road in the Town of Lewis on March 9, during which he violated an order of protection. Deputies said a warrant was issued for Eaton and he was located and taken into custody in Oneida County on Thursday.
Eaton is charged with one count of first-degree contempt, a class E felony, authorities said. He was arraigned in court and was sent to county jail in lieu of $8,000 cash bail or $16,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in court. According to law enforcement records, was previously charged in both March 2019 and September 2020 for attacking a woman on Kotary Road in the Town of Lewis.
