Man accused of stealing video games

A 34-year-old man has been charged with stealing his roommate’s video games on East Bloomfield Street, according to law enforcement officials.

Police said William L. Burk, of Woodland Avenue, had been living with a roommate on East Bloomfield Street for several months before being told he needed to move out in January.

Police said at 5:15 p.m. Jan. 13, the roommate noticed that five Nintendo games were gone.

Police said Burk later admitted to taking the games and selling them at the Gamestop store on Erie Boulevard West.

A warrant was issued for Burk and police said he was taken into custody on Wednesday. Burk is charged with one count each of petty larceny and fifth-degree possession of stolen property, police stated.

He is scheduled to appear in City Court, authorities said.
