NEW HARTFORD — A Utica man is accused of stealing from a garage on Doris Road very early Sunday morning. Police said they were dispatched to an unoccupied residence on Doris Road at about 1:45 a.m. for a reported burglary in progress. Police said they arrived and found Brandon Ray, 36, of Utica, trying to remove his vehicle from the snow-covered driveway.
Police said Ray had entered the residence without permission and stole property from the garage area.
Ray is charged with one count each of second-degree burglary, a class C felony, and petty larceny, a misdemeanor, police stated.
He was arraigned in court and is scheduled to reappear to face the charge, according to the authorities.
