Man accused of harassing wife and now attorney

A Rochester man accused of harassing his estranged wife has now additionally been charged with harassing his wife’s divorce attorney, according to law enforcement officials.

Utica Police said Christopher R. Aikens, 34, of 80 Brunswick St., Rochester, made excessive telephone calls to his wife’s divorce attorney in January. Police said Aikens was charged on April 11 with one count of second-degree aggravated harassment. He is scheduled to appear in Utica City Court.

Rome Police said Aikens was charged on March 14 with two counts of second-degree aggravated harassment for ongoing harassment of his estranged wife. Police said Aikens made repeated harassing telephone calls to his wife and had gun magazine subscriptions sent to her home.

Aikens is scheduled to reappear in Rome City Court on April 26.
