Man accused of drunk driving with child in car
GREIG — A Pennsylvania man registered a blood alcohol content of twice the legal limit after crashing into a tree in Lewis County Wednesday night, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies said Jason R. Brubaker, 47, of Myerstown, Penn., was driving on North Shore Road in Greig shortly before 9 p.m. when his 2022 GMC pickup truck went off the roadway and hit a tree. Deputies said Brubaker failed several field sobriety tests and he registered a BAC of 0.16% — twice the legal threshold of 0.08%.
Brubaker also had a child in the vehicle at the time, authorities stated.
Brubaker is charged with the Leandra's Law aggravated driving while intoxicated and several traffic infractions, deputies said. He was released on appearance tickets for Greig Town Court.
