Man accused of drunk driving with BAC nearly four times legal limit


VILLAGE OF CANASTOTA — An Onondaga County man was charged with aggravated drunken driving after he was found blocking the EZ-Pass lane at a Thruway exit in Madison County Monday evening, according to law enforcement officials.

State police said they were called to the Thruway toll booths at the Canastota exit at about 6 p.m. Monday for a vehicle that was stopped and blocking the EZ-Pass lane. Troopers said they found Austin R. Arlington, 33, of Jamesville, intoxicated in the vehicle.

Arlington registered a blood alcohol content of 0.31% — nearly four times the legal threshold of 0.08%, troopers stated.

Arlington is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated is scheduled to appear in Village Court next month, troopers said.
