Mail carrier victim of drive-by BB gun shooting
A mail carrier with the United States Post Office was the victim of a drive-by BB gun shooting in Rome, according to the Rome Police Department.
No arrests have been made so far.
Police said the mail carrier was making their rounds in the area of Expense and West Bloomfield streets at about 2:30 p.m. Jan. 4 when someone drove by and fired several BBs at them from a vehicle.
Police said the BBs bounced off the carrier’s clothing and did not cause any injury. The mail carrier called 9-1-1 and said the suspect was in a maroon sedan.
