Madison County’s historic restaurants on display

The Madison County Historian’s Office is offering a unique look inside some of Madison County’s most historic restaurants this spring. The series offers attendees the opportunity of guided tours of the facilities, and an oral history presented by a local historian.

On Tuesday, April 30, the Brewster Inn in Cazenovia will present a brief history of the former Brewster Family summer home by Madison County Historian Matthew Urtz, followed by a tour of the building, led by staff of the restaurant.

The presentation and tour will be offered at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited so registration is required.

On Wednesday, May 29, the Copper Turret in Morrisville will present a brief history of the former 160-year-old private residence that now houses the restaurant by Village of Morrisville Historian Sue Greenhagen followed by a tour of the building led by staff of the restaurant. The presentation will start at 6 p.m. followed by the tour.
