Madison County sheriff urges caution as school resumes

WAMPSVILLE — Madison County Sheriff’s office is reminding motorists to slow down and use caution as the 2019-20 school year begins.

Drivers should reduce their speed in designated school zones and stay alert around school bus stops.

Students of all ages will be returning to school this week, which will result in congested school zones and school bus stops. The sheriff’s office will have personnel patrolling school zones throughout Madison County to help ensure a safe start to the new school year.
