Madison County Board of Elections reminds residents of approaching deadlines in advance of Nov. 2 election

WAMPSVILLE — For those who want to vote in the general election to be held on Nov. 2 in Madison County, officials remind that the deadline to register in person, or to have your mailed in registration postmarked, is Friday, Oct. 8.

Registration forms are available from the Madison County Board of Elections by calling 315-366-2231 or downloaded at www.madisoncounty.ny.gov/boe.

Forms are also available at post offices and town, city, and village clerk’s offices.

Those who have moved since they last registered to vote must submit a change of address by Oct. 13. A change of address can be done by mailing in a new registration form, updating information at www.dmv.ny.gov, or in person at the Board of Elections office, 138 North Court Street,
Building #4.

There are several ways registered residents can vote this year — in-person on Nov. 2, or early voting at Sullivan Veterans Memorial Parks and Rec Building from Oct. 23-31, or by absentee. For those who wish to vote by absentee ballot, the absentee application forms are available from the Madison County Board of Elections by calling 315-366-2231 and can also be downloaded from the Election’s website, according to county officials.

The last day for board of elections to receive an application or letter of application by mail, email for an absentee ballot is Oct. 18, officials said.
