ROME — A 24-year-old man was found with a loaded handgun during a traffic stop in Rome late Thursday night, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said Tysean McIntyre, of Rome, is charged with one count each of second and third-degree possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm, all felonies, police stated.
McIntyre was pulled over in the 100 block of Mill Street around 10:10 p.m. Thursday and was found to be driving on a suspended license. McIntyre was searched and police said they found a loaded, .38-caliber handgun in a cross-body bag McIntyre was wearing.
He is scheduled to appear in court.
