MARCY — Gov. Kathy Hochul has appointed Keith Levatino, superintendent of Little Falls City School District, to the SUNY Polytechnic Institute council.

The college’s council consists of 10 members currently led by Chairwoman RoAnn Destito.

“Pursuant to Section 356 of Education Law, I have appointed you as a member of the Counciul for the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute for a term to expire on June 30, 2024,” reads a letter regarding the appointment from the governor.

“I am gratified you have accepted this appointment, and I am confident you will serve the people of New York State with dedication and distinction,” Hochul added.

Each SUNY campus has a council with nine members appointed by the governor and one by the student body. The council is responsible for providing advice and counsel and strengthening relationships between the colleges and local communities.
