Mark your calendars

Dear Winston

Hi Winston:

My name is Lion. It’s a funny name for a very quiet feline, don’t you think? I’ve been here since early March as an owner surrender. I am 6-years-old, medium-sized and a beautiful buff/orange color.

My favorite thing to do all day is sleep in high places so I can survey my kingdom below, of course.

I like to stay inside my covered cat bed, and I am content just watching the world go by.

I do have a slight heart murmur but that does not stop me from climbing everywhere and sometimes teasing the other cats when they are near my ‘cat cave.’ I am seeking a forever home where I can look out the window, sleep as long as I wish, think about the goings on in the world and just be the best companion that I can possibly be.

I am very independent and would like a quiet home with no other pets. I thank you, kind Winston, for your time. Oh, and thank you readers.

With love, Lion.

Dear Lion:

Thank you for writing. I think you would make someone a wonderful companion and you would enrich their lives! Good luck my friend!

Sincerely, Winston.
