‘Light Fight’ winners named in Oneida holiday contest

ONEIDA — The “Downtown Oneida — It’s Time for a Change” group have announced the winners of its inaugural “Light Fight” holiday decorating contest.

Across the city, organizers said, residents showed their commitment to the holiday spirit with lights and decorations.

The Butler family, 466 E. Walnut St., were named the first-place winners. The first place prize included a $125 Lowe’s gift card donated by Nye Automotive, a $15 gift card from The Blend, a $25 gift card from Oneida Commons, and a $25 gift card from Oneida Office Supplies.

Chris Kimball and family, 509 Lincoln Ave., took second place. The second place prize included a $75 Lowe’s gift card donated by Nye Automotive, a $15 gift card from The Blend, and a $25 gift card from the Oneida Commons.

Jennifer Kimball and family, 511 Seneca St., won third place. The third place prize included a $50 Lowe’s gift card donated by Nye Automotive, a $15 gift card from The Blend, and a $25 gift card from the Oneida Commons.
