VILLAGE OF LOWVILLE — A Lewis County woman with a history of impaired driving was taken into custody again Thursday night, according to law enforcement officials.
Sheriff’s deputies said Erin A. Marra, 37, of 4604 East Road, Turin, was spotted driving on South State Street in Lowville at about 8:18 p.m. Because deputies knew Marra’s driver’s license was revoked, they said they pulled over her 2012 Dodge Caravan and investigated.
Deputies said Marra was driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol, and she had two young children in the vehicle, ages 7 and 10. Deputies said this was at least Marra’s fourth drunken driving offense.
Marra is charged with driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol, two counts of driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count each of first and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and an interlock device violation, authorities said. She was arraigned in court and was sent to county jail in lieu of bail.
Marra is scheduled to reappear in court.
