WEST LEYDEN — A man and woman are both charged with assault for attacking each other during a domestic dispute in Lewis County, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies said Joshua A. Tucker, 33, and Brittany J. Bonanza, 35, both of West Leyden, were involved in a dispute around 6:41 a.m. Sunday. Deputies said Bonanza attacked Tucker during the argument, and Tucker responded by striking her in the head with a cell phone, causing a cut.

The fight took place in front of two young children, authorities noted.

Bonanza and Tucker are both charged with one count each of third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors, deputies stated. They were both released on appearance tickets for Lewis Town Court.
