Lewis County Emerging Professionals to host gala

LOWVILLE — Lewis County Emerging Professionals and the Double Play Community Center will host their annual New Year’s Eve Gala on Saturday, Dec. 31, from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Tug Hill Estate, 4051 Yancey Road.

The theme of this year’s event is Prom Night, complete with classic decorations, a vote for prom king and queen, and the NNY DJ Guy. Proceeds from the gala will benefit the Renee Beyer Memorial Fund, established in 2013 through United Way of Northern New York and the Northern New York Community Foundation to provide funding for nonprofit organizations throughout Lewis County.

Lewis County Emerging Professionals is having a corsage and boutonniere giveaway, sponsored by Lisk’s Florals, closing on Saturday, Dec. 17. The giveaway is open through Facebook and Instagram.

Tickets are $60 per person or $110 per couple. Registration at the door is accepted until capacity is met at $75 per person.

The Emerging Professionals network was established to attract and retain professionals by enhancing the social, professional, and community outreach opportunities available to emerging professionals within Lewis County and to increase the opportunity for communication, shared knowledge and interaction between those individuals, uniting them to promote community development and service.
