LETTER: Writer got it wrong about Republicans and Trump

A recent letter encouraged Republicans to explain their support for Trump. After a handful of responses, the author wrote in again to give a sarcastic “thank you” on explaining why they choose Trump over the Constitution.

I read those letters and not a single person “chose Trump over the Constitution.” The answer is: self-funding political outsider unbeholden to the D.C. uniparty, who was neither a Bush nor a Clinton.

The author contended that “if Trump was reelected Putin would be in Kyiv.” Well, he wasn’t in Kyiv when Trump was in office. Putin invaded under Biden like he did elsewhere when Bush and Obama were in office. Similarly, the writer asserts that “Trump is no friend of the military.” There are numerous examples of Trump’s leadership, as well as significant military budgets and support, that demonstrates Trump’s great relationship with the military — as opposed to that of President Biden.

Further, the writer says emphatically that “2,000 Mules has been debunked,” but it’s hard to debunk photographic and cellphone GPS location proof, unless you haven’t seen it and “debunk” it with no basis.

Every day it seems I read about new findings of 2020 election interference. “Trump has had multiple bankruptcies.” Trump has filed zero. His companies have filed Chapter 11, a tool for the fiduciary responsibilities a company must uphold.

No, the amount of taxes Trump pays doesn’t bother me. The loopholes ‘lifers’ in congress pass into law for their rich friends and lobbyist, however, does.

I recall the arrogance of the letter writer who smeared Trump. He has a history of arrogance in his writings. This response to that latter is excellent!
