LETTER: Tell congressman not to play politics with debt ceiling
I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of extreme Republicans in Congress playing games with our financial security. We are facing a phony crisis created through incompetence and falsehoods. It’s long past time to pass a clean debt ceiling bill.
I am retired. I expect my retirement and savings to be safe; not endangered by the whims of a radical few. Retirees expect our retirement income to arrive on time and us to be free from worry concerning our financial security.
Congress must act in a fiscally responsible manner and immediately raise the debt ceiling.
I urge you to contact Rep. Brandon Williams and tell him to vote to raise the debt ceiling and avoid economic turmoil. Let him know that we cannot afford to play politics with the well-being of our country and its citizens. Failing to address the debt ceiling could harm businesses, increase unemployment, and negatively impact the economy. It is damaging the country’s global reputation for financial responsibility and stability.
It is time for our elected officials to work together and prioritize the stability and prosperity of the nation. Tell this and more of the above to Rep Brandon Williams.
