LETTER: Murad’s experience on bench warrants his re-election
On election day, one of the important choices for Central New York voters to make will be the election of Supreme Court judges.
I am writing in support of the re-election of Judge David A. Murad. Judge Murad has been a Supreme Court judge for the past 14 years. He has also previously served for three years as a Surrogate Court judge.
As a practicing trial attorney for 43 years, I have frequently appeared before Judge Murad, who is now seeking re- election to the Supreme Court. During his tenure on the bench, Judge Murad has successfully presided over thousands of cases including commercial disputes, divorce actions, personal injury cases and virtually every other type of lawsuit, earning the respect and trust of the attorneys who practice before him for his integrity, knowledge of the law and fairness.
He is the only candidate running for this important position that has actual experience as a Supreme Court judge. Such experience is critical. Judge Murad has received the highest rating from every Bar Association that reviewed his qualifications. I strongly urge your support for Judge Murad as he seeks re- election to the Supreme Court.
— Thomas L. Atkinson, Utica
