Congressman Brandon Williams never portrayed himself as anything but a conservative in spite of the opinion of our leftist-socialist brethren. He’s not at all an “extremist” as the left tries to portray, but rather he’s a congressman honoring the Constitution as written.

He doesn’t ignore it as our leftists so often do. 

Williams is correct supporting the Republican debt ceiling bill which would cut the wasteful spending that our leftists are so fond of. Some of our leftist comrades are attempting to stretch the 14th Amendment’s reference to the current debt. They forget the 14th Amendment refers to debt incurred during the Civil War.

The Civil War ended in 1865 with the surrender of the Gen. Robert E. Lee’s forces, and that debt has long since been paid off. Leftist folks loath any expenditure which is not part of their largess to people who don’t want to earn their own way.

It isn’t the responsibility of taxpayers to take care of those who don’t want to earn their own way. It’s up to individuals — based on their own ability to contribute — to fund such charities. Add to that, the “rich” already pay their fair share to the federal Treasury. It’s time for everyone to have to pay something into the Treasury as they should have “some skin in the game.” 

It is not the Republicans who are radical but the leftist-socialists who are trying to pervert the Constitution and its intent.
