ROME — Cinema Capitol, 230 W. Dominick St., will present “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” for two nights at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 and Saturday, Oct. 15 as part of the Capitol Arts Complex SummerStage Fall Festival.

In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a mad scientist of sorts.

As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O’Brien). Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.”

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” has become an annual presentation at Cinema Capitol. This year as in the past, cinema-appropriate “prop kits” will be available for purchase each night for $6.

To encourage the safety and enjoyment of the film by all in attendance, any bags brought into the auditorium will be subjected to a search for non-allowable items.

Kit and movie tickets can be preordered as a combo for $15 online at www.RomeCapitol.com.

For more information or to order tickets visit the Capitol Theatre box office from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or call at 315-337-6277.

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” runs 100 minutes and is rated R.
