Leslie H. Huntley, 79, of Williamstown, NY, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 22, 1938 in Florence, NY, a son of Howard and Ida Farley Huntley. Les was a 1957 graduate of Camden High School.
Leslie married the former Yvonne Kaine on April 5, 1957.
While he was in high school, he worked on the Harden Farms. He was the superintendent for D. W. Linkleman for over thirty years. Les went on to work for Woodbury Lumber in Mexico.
He was a founding member of the Williamstown Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Masonic Temple and Shriners.
Les was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper.
He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
Surviving besides his loving wife of sixty-one years, Yvonne; are six children, Brenda Williams (Mike Melideo), of Parish, Darlene (Charlie) Bruce, of Osceola, Carl Huntley, of Williamstown, Leslie C. (Kimberly) Huntley, Jr., of Williamstown, Katherine Vincent (Kristopher Hastings), of Westdale, and Howard (JoAnn) Huntley, of Williamstown; twelve grandchildren, Jessica Metott, Kirk Williams, Joelon Williams, Nicole Peck, Brittany Peck, Jeremy Walker, Cassandra Huntley, Nicolas Huntley, Tricia Walker, Brian Huntley, Bryceann Williams, and Willian Vincent; fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Dixie Webb, of Redfield; and several nieces and nephews. Les was predeceased by a son, Brian Huntley; a grandson, Joseph Metott; and two sisters, Patricia Howe and Beulah Mae Huntley.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main St., Camden, where the Rev. John Souva, Jr., will officiate. Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. Family and friends are invited and call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
