Lee to hold town’s annual ‘White Goods Day’


TOWN OF LEE — An annual “White Goods Day” for drop-off disposal of town residents’ white goods and certain other items will be Sept. 26 from 8 a.m.-noon at the Lee Highway Department garage, 5520 School St. in Lee Center.

The event provides town residents with an opportunity to drop off various used materials for free disposal including appliances such as washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, air conditioners and water heaters; computer-related items and other electronic products such as televisions; and metal products such as lawn mowers and weed eaters.

Also accepted for disposal will be used tires, but fees will be charged including $8 for light truck/passenger tires; $20 for super-single or big front; $50 for tractor tires. Payment is by cash or by a check made payable to the Town of Lee.

The town emphasized that the overall disposal program is for town residents only.
